We look to members to support the vision and mission of WASEA by offering you the opportunity to share your talents, grow in your profession and/or serve in leadership roles.  

If you are interested in contributing to WASEA, no matter if you’re a new or seasoned member in the association, your service to the association is highly valued!

Serve as a State Liaison

State Liaisons are integral to WASEA and serve as representatives from each state within our region. State Liaisons are responsible for the following:

  • Collect Student Employee of the Year nominations from eligible institutions in their state, and establish a committee to select a state winner.
  • As newsworthy developments occur in student employment or WASEA membership in the liaison’s state, send the news to the WASEA Newsletter Editor.
  • Act as a liaison between the state’s membership and the WASEA Executive Board
  • Arrange and coordinate state meetings, encouraging and exchanging ideas and information with student employment professionals
  • Involve professionals in activities that relate to and promote student employment Perform all other duties as assigned by the President or President-Elect
  • Attend quarterly meetings of the Executive Board for updates 
We are currently searching for State Liaisons from the following states:
  • Alaska
  • Northern California
  • Idaho
  • New Mexico
